I have just bought a 2L CDX estate and the ABS seems to be operating even on very light braking.
Is this normal, does it indicate a fault, or could it be something to do with just having had the brakes relined?
Any ideas?

I had the same problem with my espero.

Turns out the sensor had gone, which means that the ABS won't come on at all.  Common fault with espero, usually front left goes before front right.  Cost £70 for the sensor, plus labour.  Garage told me that it is impossible to take a sensor out to examine without breaking it, so if you fix the wrong one, you have to buy another.

Could be the same with your model?

You can always take it to Vauxhall for a fault code reading.
