I have tried to code an airbag module due to accident, and airbags going off.

The long coding selection would not work. So i coded from long coding on old airbag control unit.

Most of the faults have cleared, but i am getting 3 codes that i have not come across before.

  9442587/B1015 1B Igniter for Battery

  13697280/U1101 00 Component protection active

   13697024/U1100 00 Component protection

I suspect there must be another igniter somewhere in the system?

The autoscan is from the new control unit fitted.

   Any help would be great

Hi cool

There is a fuse type connection at the battery that needs to be replaced after a crash! you will see it at the battery.

Why did they fit a new airbag ecu?? You can re-use these units.

If you have the old ecu , re-fit it , clear codes, job sorted Grin

Audi is actually very specific about when you can re-use the airbag control modules. But generally you are right, unless the module shows a "Control Module Defective" code you should be able to re-use it according to the specifications in the factory repair manual. Smiley
