Hi all
Got a 2001 2.4 turbo diesel transit in with a surging problem at high revs especialy underload. pluged in verus and found a list of faults, p0149 fuel timing error,
p1563 injectionpump control module requesting engine stop,
1564 injection pump control module requesting reduced fueling,
p1664 injection pump control module malfunction,
p0335 crankshaft position sensor A circuit malfunction,
B2141 nvm configuration failure

Van does not cut out just looses power when surging. cleared all codes and have since driven the van 4 times now to try get the fault codes back up but nothing. Should also mention that i have swapped the filter head over from our loan van which made no difference. Im in two minds weather its the timing chain tensioner loosing its pressure and causing the the problem but the fact the no codes have come up makes me think other wise, also if its the pump is causing it but again no codes of come back up. has any come across this before

Any info would be appricated

Come across this a gazillion times,

Type P1664 and P1564 into the search box or google it.

hi all, been dealing with a bosch dealer in plymouth we deal with a lot, after running a lot of tests and checking looms etc we bit the bullet and fitted an exchange pump, finished the van friday and owner drove to wales and back no problems, also should mention that we changed the timing chain, guide and tensioner as i got a service bulletin from ford saying that if codes p1664 and 1563 are stored then replacement tensioner and chain etc is highly recommended as a revised tensioner was introduced in aug 2005 and tensioner arm has been changed
