Hi, chap came in with a 528 e39 abs light on, scanned with x431, 2 codes shown 05 wheel speed sensor rear right,  67 intermittent interference, cleared  faults lights out also cleared codes from eng and autobox speed signal related, also cleared ok, let him take the car to see how quick faults returned, well couple of days and same codes back, I have cleared again and booked it in for next week for rear sensor, just wondering what the fault code 67 interference relates to? after reading a few posts on here it seems that there could be a further fault poss ecu or instruments ? poss not sensor fault, not had chance to read live data road speed etc, thanks.

Just done one similar, tried sensor no good, new bearing no good, turned out to be ecu.

I have the following explanation for code 67: Continuous control due to interference.
I think it means there's so much interference on one or more wheel speed signals that the ABS is continuously active.
I would check wheel speeds for all wheels during a test-drive in live data.

Hi,
If live data is still not good enough, scope all sensors on a test drive, and see if that helps.

i agree with Paulogue it will probably be ecm but give sensors a scope anyway
but does speedo work ?
as rear right runs speedo signal

Yes it is, NSR sensor drives the speedo

I think this one uses both rear sensors. One for speed, the other for distance.

The NSR one definitely drives the speedo. I never took any notice to see if the odometer works without the speedo, perhaps it does. Thanks for that
