Have received a new switch from local dealer, but it's not a match. Unfortunately their partsman is a recent 'convert' from the nearby (ex?) Vauxhall dealer, so has no meaningful experience, and appears not to want to talk to his workshop staff, or someone there who has been around for at least 10 years, or so.

Do you any of you know of a reason why the shaft from the lock barrel has a variation? The 'original' has a profile like the Batman Logo, and the new one is 'T' shaped ( with a 'domed' head ).

VIN is SHHCG9570XU023xxx

After some thought, we 'experimented' on the original, 'opened' it to take out the drive dog and installed it in the new switch.
