Hi all,
Had this machine in for routine service and customer also mentioned about a problem
with shifting 2 to 4wd, the centre light for the transer box flashes in the display.
I've scanned the transfer box for faults and get
33.T/F mode sw2
I've tried to find which switch on the box is responsible for this by activating the servo motor back and forward
but each time in live data all the switches seem to operate on/off (i'm thinking that this is a failsafe system where when one fails
the position can still be determined from the others)
When i clear the code and restart the problem doesnt arise until i switch out of 2H
Any ideas on which switch causes this or where its located as i dont fancy having to lower the box and test these one by one
Thanks in Advance
Ray

Hi mate,

Did you ever get to the bottom of this fault, my girlfriends father has a 2005 Shogun with the same problem and fault code.

Thanks

Going from memory here which is not my strong point!!
I lowered the box and found one of the switches faulty and replaced. Soon afterwards customer back again complaining of
flashing transfer lamp, when scanned again was 26 (i think) rr speed sensor fault and another switch fault, retested all switches and sensor output wiring
up to control unit and all showed ok. Customer not willing to spend any further so had to stop at that.

Do you have any test data available for these switches?

Thanks
