L200 2.5 turbo diesel, 2005, Poor performance, Fault code 2050

hi all
Having done a bit of digging on here i see that these are problematic the mentioned vehicle goes into limp mode EML light comes on cycle ignition off and on and runs perfect until fault comes again
1 fault code stored 2050 boost pressure sensor rang mitsi dealer and they have quoted 150+ for the sensor have looked at live data and when vehicle is running fine everything seems good
seems a expensive gamble because of the posts i have read on here about other problems with boost etc any help much appreciated
