Hi all you mot testers out there,
Is there something in the emission mot data, that allows the eunos to get through the test without a cat being fitted. Somewhere i have read that the 93-95 imports cannot be found in the emission data,so a non cat test can be used!
deal or no deal!

Something to do with the date of build perhaps?

if the vehicle (petrol) isn't listed in the emissions data book sent out by vosa annually the car has the basic emissions test, if it fails that you carry out a non-metered test (pre-cat test)
if you want a loophole, how about a seven seater people carrier, same test above applies. it doesn't count as a passenger vehicle if it has more than 6 seats & is therefore exempt. figure that one out!
these are only petrol vehicles, diesel vehicles all count subject to their age.

That rings a bell. There was an issue with some suzuki models, years ago. Theres probably none of them left on the roads now anyway. Roll Eyes

Emission tests are based on a number of criteria

Attached .pdf's should explain it

Spanner
There continue to be issues with Suzuki, they are STILL not listed in the Emmisions Book!
Strangey enough, McLaren are. I wonder who makes the most cars.....  Grin

On a recent refresher coure I was also told that an imported car would not be expected to pass our emmisions limits if the country of first use had a higher limit. (How the hell I would find that out, God only knows. I dont fancy my chances on ringing the "help desk".)
