Hi
My accountant is at it again. He can't resist buying a plaything for the Summer - albeit a bit late this year. Every time, it ends in tears.
This year is no exception, he's had this car 2 weeks and is now encountering big problems with second gear and wants me to replace the gearbox.
Of course, I'm obliged again to step outside my comfort zone.

I've not seen the car, so what I want to know is:
Is there access for the gearbox to be dropped down from under the car, or does the drivetrain assembly as a complete unit have to come out through the front and then be split??
Thanks.

Big heavy lump so make sure you have either a helper or a good gearbox jack. You will be amazed at how crude these are,its like stepping back in time 30 years!!! You wonder where the money people spend on them goes.

So you recon that cutting some access holes in to the tunnel  like a Reliant and covering with Gaffer tape after might go unnoticed then.  Grin Grin
