That fault code relates to the Torque converter speed sensor which is used to monitor the the gearbox slippage (Input rpm to output speed) and lockup states of the convertor. If that sensor fails the transmission may have difficulty shifting smoothly or getting the lockup to operate. It could possibly put up a code for incorrect gear ratio. You should be able to monitor this sensor directly in live data as part of the powetrain module.
Hope that helps!

Im not sure exactly but it could be because the engine managment uses input speed data to calculate load etc.  Undecided
Could also be just because its a powertrain module with both ecu and trans in one box sharing all the signals?

thanks for your help, mike i think i got to the bottom of the problem.
theres to sensors on top of the gearbox, one input speed sensor and one output speed sensor.
the output one is the easier one to get to,the other one is more difficault.
anyway hyundai want 162 pounds plus tax for a new one Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
where do they get their prices from.

It could be a Mitsubishi part or perhaps Aisin gearbox part?
No sure what gearbox that model uses but often Mitsi based....
