hi guys got a mx5 in the work shop, engine is knocking, found out the oil has turned to jelly!!!!!!!! the cams and head are gone! so need to replace the head, looking for information on marks or tools needed, any help would be great, thanks

hi there no tools needed to time up the engine put the crank on tdc the cam dowels at 12 oclock then put the i on the inlet wheel on the dowel then the e on the same wheel will be at 4 oclock / the same on the exhaust e at the top and then the i will be at 8 oclock there r marks on the back plate hope this helps ..
