To add to my great week (see ford cougar, vw sharan, kia rio,) I have one more odd one, This vehicle idles at about 2.5 k. Iac code stored, removed, cleaned and reset, no change. Live data shows it to be working and feeding back its expected position to the ecu correctly. o2 is reading correctly and throttle body has been cleaned out with no change. Reset done physically and in functions on the scanner, still no change.  Any light anyone? Smiley Smiley

I have had this before, i had to remove the IAC valve and pull the end of the valve so it extends. Also try disconnecting the battery first, I had to disconnect a battery on a Clio this week after fitting new valve properly same type of valve, pin 4? Regards Darren

Hi Sparki,
What scanner are you using? There are a number of adjustments available apart from adaptions reset. One Lanos I had recently doing this needed the desired idle and desired steps adjusting down. I have no idea why they changed themselves.
