Civic 1.6 Petrol 2005 Key Fob/Remote programming
«

The above vehicle has had the original remote chewed by a dog.
We have obtained a genuine, new replacement. The alarm goes off as soon as we open the door, this was the case prior to us looking at it.
We have carried out the procedure listed on autodata and on another thread in the Honda section but it will not work. Does anyone have any idea if there is another way to get the vehicle to accept the signal from the new remote other than taking it to dealer? We are struggling to get it to the dealer as we can start the car but the alarm is going off and hazards are flashing so driveing it 20 or so miles to dealer is a bit of a problem.
Many thanks
Nigel.

Hi Andy
Sorry the model is a Civic.
Carried out exactly your instructions. It has worked a treat.
I have done that so many times today without success, but i had the remote on the key ring. I carried out your instructions with the remote in my other hand and it worked firts time.
Many many thanks for taking the time to reply.
