Astra z16xe 1.6 16v petrol 2003. misfires showing after new EGR valve fitted

above car came in with a poor running fault and erratic idle, scanned for codes and p0400 stored, egr valve excessive flow.

Removed egr valve and it was stuck open, feedback voltage was 4.43v, had a new one in stock so fitted and feedback voltage cam down to 1.15v which is about right but whilst viewing live data i noticed it has misfires detected 130 but no more fault codes stored and the car seems to run fine.

Can anyone explain this, is it a coil pack in the process of failing or a crank sensor fault.

i had a Zafira [same engine and fault]  in six weeks ago with same scenario but my misfire did not become evident until a week after changing egr valve with one of the plugs badly sooted up, did compression check as was wary of burning oil maybe gunging things up but all seemed okay, i changed coil pack and plugs with genuine parts as cheaper than motor factors anyway and all has been okay so far , interesting note was coil pack was different make this time round, was wondering if egr being jammed had maybe caused / exacerbated this but not sure
