Mechanic lost key to car whilst doing head gasket and the owner of the car got a new key from dealer, asked to program key which i'm sure i've done it but car still doesn't start (no spark) but when you turn the igniton key on the fuel pump runs.

Engine management light doesn't flash and it goes out. Have'nt got a code reader for daewoo but i think you can blink code this model.  Is there a chance that dealer could have supplied wrong keys.

Check all the earth points around the inlet manifold, maybe your tech forgot to fasten it after the head gasket job.

Been there done it.

went out again to have another go, tried all what suggested but no luck, padlock on dashboard just flashes.

I bridged out dagnostic socket but flash codes were just code number 12 all the time.  I had another nubera in the workshop although a year newer and now this is the stragne bit, the key for this car is cloeable (my machine will read the key) so i decided to copy this key onto the one that i'm having problems with and it copied it but when i tried to read the key again it wont read so i'm thnking its got a broken/dodgy chip in the key supplied by dealer which is stopping me programing.

Does this make sense or am i doing something wrong.  It is a overwritable type chip (t5 glass chip)

thanks
